Who we are

The CPF Calculator Team maintains cpfcalculatorsg.com. We are a small independent group that builds free reference calculators for Singapore. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Central Provident Fund Board, the Ministry of Manpower, or IRAS. We sell nothing, we do not collect your salary data, and we accept no sponsorship from banks, insurers or financial advisers.

Written questions and corrections reach the team at our contact page. Every message about a rate discrepancy is read by a person.

Where our numbers come from

Every rate, ceiling and threshold on this site traces to a primary Singapore government source. We do not copy figures from other calculator sites or news articles.

How the calculator works

Our CPF calculator is deliberately transparent. It applies the same sequence the CPF Board uses, in this order:

  1. Determine the applicable rate band from age at the time of contribution and residency status (Citizen, first-year PR, second-year PR, third-year-onward PR).
  2. Cap the Ordinary Wage at the monthly OW ceiling of $8,000.
  3. Apply the employee and employer contribution percentages for that band to the capped OW.
  4. Round the total contribution to the nearest dollar, then round the employee share up to the nearest dollar, with the employer share taking the remainder — this is the CPF Board's rounding convention and it is why our totals match a payslip to the cent.
  5. Allocate the total across Ordinary, Special and MediSave Accounts using the allocation rates for that age band. From age 55, allocation moves to the Retirement Account instead of the Special Account.
  6. Check the contribution against the $102,000 annual total wage ceiling for Additional Wage purposes.

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is transmitted, logged or stored anywhere. There is no account, no cookie carrying your salary, and no server that ever sees the figure.

Review and update cycle

CPF rates change on a predictable calendar, and we review on that calendar rather than at random:

The "Last reviewed" date on each guide is the date a team member last checked every figure on that page against the primary source. It is not a cosmetic timestamp and we do not bump it without an actual review.

Corrections policy

If a number on this site is wrong, we want to know and we will fix it. Material corrections — anything that would change a calculated result — are made immediately, and the affected page's "Last reviewed" date is updated. If a correction changes guidance readers may have acted on, we note the change and its date at the foot of that page rather than silently editing it.

What this site is not

This is a reference and estimation tool. It is not financial advice, not tax advice, and not a substitute for your official CPF statement. CPF rules contain exceptions this calculator does not model — among them concessionary rates for low-wage workers, contributions for employees earning under $750 a month, Additional Wage recalculations across a job change mid-year, and scheme-specific treatment for certain occupations. For any decision with money at stake, verify against your own CPF statement at cpf.gov.sg or speak to a licensed adviser.

Advertising and independence

The site is free and is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over our rate tables, our calculator logic, or anything we write. We do not accept paid placements, affiliate commissions on financial products, or sponsored guides. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed here first and labelled on the page in question.

Use of AI

Drafting assistance may be used for structure and readability. Every rate, formula and worked example is verified by a person against the primary source before publication. No page is published from generated text alone.
